The Ecological Union has approved a standard for voluntary ecological certification of Leaf of Life hotels. The purpose of the document is to take care of environmental protection and rational use of available resources.
The final version of the standard took into account the capabilities and features of Russian hotels. The document includes a number of new requirements, such as:
-reduction of the formation of food waste on the territory of the hotel,
-reduction of the types of packaging materials recommended for procurement,
-prohibition of all disposable.
According to the Ecological Union, hotels, being owners of the Leaf of Life eco-label, will be able to set high benchmarks in the industry.
