The Russian government, at the request of entrepreneurs, extended until the end of 2021 the possibility of obtaining support for businessmen who sell excisable products. We are talking about hotels, cafes and restaurants that have suffered losses due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Before that, entrepreneurs who have a license to sell alcohol could not count on financial assistance. However, as part of a package of measures to support business, the government abolished this restriction last summer, and now the norm has been extended until the end of 2021. Now, for hotels, cafes and restaurants that sell excisable goods, the same support measures are in effect until the end of 2021 as for those that do not sell. Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin approved a new preferential credit program to support businesses. 7.8 billion rubles were allocated for its implementation.
The resolution on this was signed on March 4, 2021 and posted on the government's website.
