Setting up sending email notifications to Shelter CLOUD (booking confirmation)

  1. Setting up booking notifications by email to the FD24 client.

Open FD24, then click on the account name, full name, and go to the tab: Email notifications



Further  we turn the checkbox ON.

We set the checkboxes to notify those parameters that will be used, for example, a letter to the guest when creating a reservation or a letter to the guest when creating an invoice in the payment system and fill in all the fields belonging to our parameters, namely the example:

- the title of the letter,

- attachment

-only for online bookings

Important: In order for emails to be sent correctly, all the conditions must be met. If at least one of the following conditions is not met, then emails will not be sent.:

- The "Email Notifications" checkbox must be enabled.

- Check the box "Email to the guest when making a reservation".

- Select a notification template from the drop-down list.

Next, scroll down the page and find the settings for sending mail:




Fill in the appropriate fields.

Important: We always check the SSL box (with the exception of mail gmail.com in her case, SSL is not checked).

Configuring the server and ports:

- smtp.mail.ru port 465

smtp.yandex.ru port 465

- smtp.gmail.com port 587

- corporate email sending services port 465

!!! To send notifications correctly, you must set up a password for external applications in each sending service.

The Yandex service

Go to settings-All settings-Mail clients and tick the boxes as shown in the screenshot



Next, go to Account Management and add the password for the applications:





We insert that password into the FD in the password field.

Mail Service

We enter the password and security – passwords of external applications and generate a password:






We also insert this password into the FD24.


Gmail Service

Important: We remind you that you do not need to check the box to use SSL in the case of gmail mail. 

Go to Account Management-Security and create a password for the applications.











We insert this password into the FD24.


For corporate email sending services, we ask the system administrator to create such a password for internal mail accounts.

You can also always check the sending of emails using the utility. Thunderbird (you can download it here https://www.thunderbird.net/ru /)
