Examples of price settings for different types of placement

In this article, we'll look at how to set prices for different accommodation options.

The room rate does not depend on the number of guests

1. Create a room category, the cost of which will not depend on the number of guests. For more information on how to create a room category, see the article "Managing Room Categories".

2. In the Settings menu, go to the Room Categories section and select the desired category.

   

3. In the window that opens, go to the Placement section and click Add.

   

4. In the New Placement window, fill in the required fields:

   • The name. Specify a name for the placement you are creating;

   • Price for: Room;

   Leave the other fields empty. Save the data.

   

5. Next, go to the Tariffs and Prices section and select the desired tariff.

6. In the View field, select a Category.

7. In the list that appears, find the created category for which the price will be set.

8. Double-click on the date cell for which you want to set the price, enter the price and press Enter.

   

9. To set the price for the selected category for a long period, click on the price cell. In the window that opens, specify the dates of the price action.

   

10. The specified price will be applied to all dates within the specified period.

    

When booking, the indicated price will be substituted automatically regardless of the number of guests in the room.:

The price of a single room differs from the price of a room

To set prices that will depend on the number of guests staying in the room, you need to create two types of accommodation for the selected room category. To do this, follow these steps:

1. In the Settings section > Room categories select the appropriate category.

2. Open it, go to the Placement block and click Add.

3. Add two types of placement:

   1) For the first one, enter the name, select the price for the room and specify the Main type of accommodation. Leave the other fields empty. Save the data.

   

   This type of accommodation is not tied to the number of guests staying in the room.

   2) For the second type of accommodation, enter the following information: Name, price per room, Basic accommodation, guests in the room: 1. Leave the other fields blank and save the data.

   

4. Go to the Tariffs and Prices section and select the tariff for which prices will be calculated.

5. Set prices for each type of accommodation.

 

The current prices will be displayed in the price grid.:

When booking a room of this category, the corresponding price will be charged for one guest.:

If the number of guests in the main seat increases, the price will be recalculated automatically.:

The price of an extra bed is not included in the room rate

To be able to accommodate guests in both main and additional places, it is necessary to create two types of accommodation for the selected room category.

1. In the Settings section > Room categories select the category for which the accommodation will be created.

2. Go to the Placement section and click Add.

3. Create two types of placement:

   1) For the first type, specify the following parameters:

     • name;

     • price per room;

     • Basic placement.

   Leave the remaining fields empty and save the data.

   

   2) For the second type of placement, specify the following parameters:

       • name;

       • price per person;

       • Accommodation: additional.

   Leave the remaining fields empty and save the data.

   

4. Next, go to the Tariffs and Prices section and set prices for the created placement types. In the price grid, the adjusted prices will look like this:

   

5. When booking a room with basic accommodation, the system will automatically substitute the set price, regardless of the number of guests in the main seat.:

The cost of additional accommodation depends on the age of the guest

In order to be able to set different prices for additional accommodation depending on the age of the guest, it is necessary to include several types of accommodation for the room category.

1. Go to Settings > Room categories.

2. Select the desired room category and set several types of accommodation:

   1) For the first type of placement, set the parameters:

   • price per room;

   • Placement: basic.

   Leave the other fields empty. Save the data.

2) Let's assume that the second type of accommodation involves placing a child under 7 years old in an additional place. Set the following parameters for it: • price: per person; • Accommodation: additional; • age: up to 7 years old. Leave the other fields empty. Save the data.

3) The third type of accommodation in our example assumes the accommodation of a guest of any age, except for the one indicated in the previous type of accommodation. In this case, you can specify the age in the "Age from" field or not at all, because the program will check whether there are any types of accommodation with an indication of age, and automatically substitute the correct price.

Therefore, for the third type of placement, set the following parameters:

• price: per person;

• Accommodation: additional.

Leave the other fields empty. Save the data.

Next, set prices for the created types of accommodation in the Tariffs and Prices section. In our example, the prices in the price grid will look like this:

When booking, the system will automatically substitute the desired prices.

The price on weekends differs from the price on weekdays

If the cost of rooms of any category depends on the day of the week, prices for them are set not using different types of accommodation, but at the time of specifying the price for a particular type of accommodation.

1. First, create the desired room category in the Settings section > Number categories.

2. If you have created room categories, select the one you need and create the necessary types of accommodation for it.

3. Next, go to the Rates and Prices section, select the desired rate and room category, and create a price for one or more types of accommodation. 1) In the first case, specify the price for weekdays:

When booking, the system will automatically substitute the correct prices based on the day of the week. In our example, 5 nights were counted at weekday prices and 1 night at weekend prices.:
