Connecting an AirBNB channel

Description

Airbnb is an international online marketplace for short—term rental accommodation around the world. For each object placed on the site, the platform charges a service fee from both the owner of the accommodation facility and the tenant. Airbnb is one of the most popular and affordable sales channels for any accommodation facilities, which is ensured by a user—friendly and intuitive interface, as well as wide distribution among users.

There are two ways to set up an Airbnb accommodation facility:

  • numbers, i.e. you need to create an ad for each number separately;
  • by categories, i.e. create an ad for a specific room category.

Customization

To work with the Airbnb portal, you need to create a personal account where you create accommodation facilities with photos and descriptions.

On the Airbnb portal

After the objects are created on the Airbnb portal:

  1. On the website airbnb.com select the Calendar section.

  2. Select one of the created rooms or room categories directly in the Calendar.

  3. Next, open the Available Dates tab. In the Link Calendars section, click Connect to another site to synchronize the calendars.

  4. In the window that opens, copy the link to the calendar.

In the Shelter Cloud Web office

After all the settings on the Airbnb portal are completed and the link to the calendar is copied.:

  1. In the Shelter Cloud web office, go to the Channel Manager section.

  2. On the right side of the screen, in the list of Available Channels, find the Airbnb line, hover over it and click Add.

  3. After the channel appears in the Connected Channels list, turn the checkbox for it to the On position.

  4. Click the check mark in the window to the left of the channel name and select the Channel Management option.

  5. In the window that opens, select the matching method: by numbers or by categories.

  6. In the Import URL column, enter the link to the calendar you received on the Airbnb website for the room category or for each room separately, if matched by numbers.

Completing Settings

Next, you need to complete the matching on the AirbBNB side. For this:

  1. Copy the link to the number or room category in the Export Url column:

  2. Add the copied link to your personal account on the AirBNB website in the Link to another site section. In the Calendar Name block, specify the appropriate name.

  3. Repeat the described steps for all created rooms or room categories.
