Description
When connecting third-party sales channels in the Shelter Cloud web office, you can set up restrictions on sales of certain room categories, including during certain time periods.
Such restrictions make it possible to achieve a number of goals, including:

control prices;

increase sales through your own channels;
-
optimize the load on the accommodation facility;
-
prevent overbooking;
-
provide a high level of guest service directly at the accommodation facility, etc.
Setting up restrictions on sales
Restrictions on the sale of room categories are configured in the Channel Manager section of the Shelter Cloud web office. To set restrictions:

Select the sales channel for which restrictions will be set.

To the left of its name, check the box to start working with the channel.

Click the Restrictions button.
- In the window that opens, click Edit Restrictions.

In the window that opens, set the necessary restrictions.:
• Select a room category from the list to which the restrictions will apply. If the restrictions apply to all active room categories, select the All Categories option.
• Select the tariff that the restrictions will apply to from the drop-down list. If the restrictions apply to all existing room categories, select the All Rates option.
• In the calendar, select the date range for which the restrictions will apply.
• In the list of days of the week, select which days the restrictions apply to. By default, all days are active.
• On the right side of the window, indicate the availability of rooms during the specified period at the specified rates. If the Availability checkbox is not active, information is transmitted to the sales channel that a stop sale applies to the specified period, tariff, and category.
• If applicable, disable the Check-in option. If the Check-in checkbox is turned off, the information is transmitted to the sales channel that it is forbidden to check into rooms in the specified period, tariff and category. The checkbox is enabled by default.
• If applicable, disable the Exit option. If the Check-out checkbox is turned off, the information is transmitted to the sales channel that it is forbidden to check out of the room in the specified period, tariff and category. The checkbox is enabled by default.
• Specify the length of stay at the accommodation in the Duration from and Duration to fields. If the duration is set, the information will be transmitted to the sales channel stating that the minimum period of stay in the accommodation facility is set for the specified period, tariff and category.

After all the restrictions are set, click Apply.
After the restrictions are successfully applied, the system will automatically upload them to the sales channel.
If there are restrictions on room categories for the selected sales channel, these categories will be displayed in red on the specified dates.:
Removing restrictions on manual sales
In the Shelter Cloud web office, you can also remove previously established restrictions on the sale of room categories on certain dates.

To remove the restrictions, select the room category and date, and click once on the corresponding cell. The display color will change from red to green, and restrictions on the sale of the selected category on the selected date will be lifted.

To change the restrictions on the length of stay at the accommodation, click on the cell with the duration and enter a new value.
