Dealing with the tourist tax

After all the settings of the tourist tax have been completed, it can be collected from the guests. The various available options will be discussed below.

The amount of tourist tax is less than 100 rubles

1. Go to the Chess section and create an individual booking.

2. In the booking, select the fare to which the tour tax was previously added.

   

3. In our example, the room rate is 9,000 rubles; the amount includes accommodation and breakfast.

4. The rate is set at 1%. Since 1% of 9,000 rubles is less than 100 rubles, the system will round up the amount of the tax levied to 100 rubles.

   

The amount of the tourist tax is more than 100 rubles

Now let's look at an example with a higher room rate. The cost of a day is 50,000 rubles; the amount also includes accommodation and breakfast. Since our example uses a tour.the tax is 1% of the cost of accommodation, then the amount of the tour tax in our example will be 495.05 rubles per night (calculated using the formula 50000*1/101).

The guest has a preferential category

Shelter PRO allows you to add and edit preferential categories of guests, which depend on the region, in the directory of preferential categories. To do this, go toReference books → Reference books → Preferential categories (tour tax).

1. Create a reservation for two guests.
   

2. If one of the guests has a document on preferential status, then this status can be set in special fields for both the main guest and the second guest. When the discount is set, the amount of the tour tax will be recalculated.

   

3. If both guests have a preferential category, then it must be indicated in the card of each guest. In this case, the tour tax will not be calculated.

   

Disabling the tourist tax in the booking

If necessary, the calculation of the tour tax can be disabled for a specific booking. This is done in the Service fee (tour tax) field.

Deactivate the tour.tax, and it will not be calculated for the stolen reservation.

Important: If no tourist tax is charged for any type of tariff, select the appropriate tariff in the Tariff Types directory, go to the Conditions tab and check the Do not use tourist tax checkbox. Save the changes.
